Today in a massive unexpected surprise Wreckreation 2 has been announced and it looks like it’s got the ol burnout feel to it! Honestly i think this is perfect timing since EA has announced that criterion the legendary studio behind the burnout franchise, will focus on helping continue to solely work on battlefield 6. Yes this also means that it looks like need for speed has also been shelved. It’s unsure if this is temporary of is this another final nail in the coffin for yet another gaming studio under EA to die.

Honestly fans like myself just want either a burnout remaster or something similar and it looks like wreckreation 2 might just hold the key. However there are a few big questions that come to mind.

Firstly Wreckreation 1 hasn’t even been out fully for a year and there’s a 2nd one in the works. Secondly is this under three fields entertainment or has the studio sorta evolved into a new one. For those unaware Three fields entertainment hit a massive financial blow as they did hit redundancy and has relied on sales and it’s patreon for support. In fairness the game has had a load of patches and free content. I will remind again that TFE had some people involved with the original criterion studio that made burnout!

The big question is the developer for the 2nd one and that’s called When tides Turn. Is this a brand new studio that has taken over TFE under a new name as the socials to Wreckreation 2 leads to TFE sites and the patreon is still the same!
