That’s right from out of the blue a brand new open world game that’s coming soon and I can’t help but think that this reminds me of Driver Parallel lines or at least have some kind of inspiration to this classic game which is one of my favorite original Xbox games!
“Samson returns to Tyndalston, a city that shaped him hard, where every fight is close and every escape is earned. He owes dangerous people more than he can pay, and they’re using his sister to force his hand. The clock is ticking. The only way out is through anyone who stands in his way.” This is the Steam description and it gets a lot more in depth to!
What sticks out most is this game studio Liquid sword is founded by Christofer Sundberg who was a co founder of avalanche studios and yes this means he was the creative director on the Just cause series which he left the company back in 2019 and founded liquid sword. Now even though just cause 4 has got a load of mixed reviews , just cause 3 is my favorite from the series and the first game will always be something special to me! To top things of Legendary music composer Jesper Kyd will be making the soundtrack. This guy made music for Hitman, borderlands, assassins creed, freedom fighters, war hammer and many more!
So with this in mind it’s safe to say that Samson will be one to watch. I say this but after the disastrous game that was mindseye which the company behind was one of the ex rockstar founders , samson has a risk of being a flop or being an absolute gem!
With this in mind more information about this game sounds like a fuck around and lets find out because it looks like regardless on what path you take during the story it sounds like you’ll bet set with some very tough choices and depending on how this goes it looks like the police will be a challenge to! Even though it’s an open world game it also sounds like there is tight time frames to finish the story by unlocking missions and finding out what exactly happened to your family. This does sound like the dead rising games but minus the zombies.
Set in a more serious tone/atmosphere in a gritty city it feels like you’ll be using it as your own playground , finding shortcuts and easier ways to deal with certain situations some of which has a feel of some 80’s action movies. You can wishlist this on Steam (PC) now. I don’t think there’s any information on a console release at this time. Link here!
