That’s right Sumpp has just dropped an EP outta nowhere! The best way I can describe this band even if it’s just one man it bananas, but not just bananas , it’s absolute bananas and this is the type of artists which appears outta nowhere but spreads joy and happiness…well that’s what I think is the goal. Trying to think of the process on how exactly does this mastermind think on making such majestic songs with catchy beats such as Meaty lance..
So with that in mind you get the idea on what exactly is going on with each song but the plot twist is …you don’t! I’ve not laughed this hard at parody music since the lonely island era along with the Gregory brothers with their dank meme parody shit posting it’s pure comedic gold.
Despite this Ep being so small it’s rammed with so much bizarre music it bounces off the scale from silly to question your sanity as your laughing and crying at the same time!
Despite the mega long title for the first track ” lazily pandering to the meme while my mom is in hospital” With a relaxing guitar backing to the word buttered sausage and yes I had to google what the meaning behind this is and it turns out there was a deepfake of Neil talking about buttered sausages, i’m not joking! So to make a song from a deepfake meme is gold!

“Comin thru pt 2″ Yeah it’s the same as ” coming on through” from the last album “songs in key of sumpp” But this time there’s a cool hip hop bob with special guest Wax!
“Happy birthday Ashley 35 years old” reminds me of Jon Jojoie and that’s a big compliment to make. “I want U in my life” i thought you know what this sounds quite romantic even though it’s just the words i want you over and over again, it’s basically a love song rather than a dance song like daft punk with “around the world” until right at the very very end which i won’t spoil.
“Being in a band” is just 18 seconds of peak ADHD and it reminds me of “dogs like socks” by psychostick which again another huge compliment as these two would make a killer tour!
“Punk is dad” is a satire parody of outing punk bands selling themselves out for money despite ending their career 20 years ago but the band isn’t pretty enough for only fans.Which with that slappy bass and the outrage of being more punk than a nostalgic cash grab” Is this a dig to some bands making a comeback purely for nostalgic reasons or is it yet again Sumpps finest work on making absolute nonsense for music. What ever the reason is the main thing is to check out Sumpp and help support this man make more unique gems, I really look forward to what he’ll come up next!
