The RTS genre ( Real Time Strategy) has slowly been making a comeback over the last few years and not just from the bigger studios. There’s been quite a few that are in development with early access to some having a proper release and Tempest Rising is one of them!

Fans like myself call it the return of the command and conquer era as the gameplay and style has the similar feel too it and that’s a huge compliment!

Tempest rising is developed by Slipgate Ironworks, a small studio based in Denmark which has some veterans who have worked on some AAA titles! This game will be published by 3D Realms & Knights peak which i’m not too familiar with but either way Tempest Rising is one of the games to get!

Over the years I’ve been discovering a lot of new games that are by indie developers and a lot pretty much smash a lot of AAA games which we have seen come out. A lot look well polished and play really well and tempest rising is one of them!

This game has been on my wish list for a good long while and having the chance to play the demo when it came out last year and then play another demo earlier this year, this game has a lot of hype and that’s for good reason! I’ve been posting some clips too as shorts and speaking to other fans about this game along with getting too excited for a release date which for some reason was rumored to come out this month ( I took that with a pinch of salt) Now has an actual release date, fingers crossed it doesn’t get pushed back!

This is one of my top games to get in 2025!

There is already a fan base with multiple groups already made and with over 48,000 followers on Steam the game is still four months away and this is a real good sign!

To put the sweet cherry on top of this wonderful cake! Music composer legend Frank Klepacki has helped make the soundtrack/music for this game. For those who don’t know , Frank is the OG the real deal, He made the original command and conquer soundtrack!
